Description:
The real art of the French handpainted Limoges porcelain box in a large variety of motifs for the serious collector! Chamart was the first company in the United States to introduce museum quality French handpainted Limoges porcelain boxes. Around 1950, when Mr. Charles Martine came from France he pioneered in the difficult task to introduce a new artform to the upscale audience of the American market who at the time was not familiar with the Limoges "tabatieres" which already had existed for a few centuries in France. Combining his first and last name his company name was born and from that point on the name Chamart would be recognized for perfection and artistry with very high standards in the field of the French handpainted Limoges porcelain boxes. As Mr. Martine wanted each Limoges box to have a special place and meaning in his Limoges boxes' collection, he designed and created each style from its drawing after an idea to the last accent and details once the item was completed and ready to be presented. Chamart Exclusives was born as well as the Limoges boxes museum collection in America. Since then, Chamart Exclusives introduces each season the most spectacular and artistic Limoges boxes as a result of the French refinement and the taste of the New World combined. The next generation of Mr. Martine's family, being Americans have continued with the empire of Chamart Exclusives and taken it to a new dimension with the creation of many American themed Limoges boxes but always keeping the real taste for high class and French artistry which make the soul and essence of the French porcelain Limoges boxes all over the world.
