Originally, this creation was meant for a window display for which the theme, as conceived by Marc Lalique, was an aquarium where crystal fishes seemed to be swimming around the eight crystal clear leaves of a giant cactus. The huge success of this creation gave Marc Lalique the sparkling idea to turn it into a table.
