Every Easter, the Imperial Russian Czar — Czar Nicholas II — bestowed a privately commissioned Faberge egg on his beloved wife Alexandra. The original collection for the House of Faberge, which was confiscated from the Czar's many palaces in 1917 following the Russian Revolution, is now on display inside the Kremlin museum in Moscow.
