Translated 'Old Village', Borgo Antico is a handpainted Tuscan decor from the 15th century. Inspired by the ancient belief that every color has a special meaning, sage represented the unfolding of Spring after the close of Winter. Beautifully painted by master artisans on durable terra bianca (white clay), this elegant collection exudes the old-world quality of an Italian aristocrat's home.

Beautiful Pattern!

On December 20, 2006:
I started "collecting" the Borgo Antico pattern about a year ago and I just love it! I fell in love with Italy during a wonderful vacation; Borgo Antico reminds me of the lovely villages my husband and I visited on our trip. The pieces are well shaped and the perfect size (nice, large dinner plates). As has been my experience with all Vietri, the quality is quite good as well. I highly recommend this pattern!
